Four years after a Phoenix Police Department officer killed Jacob Harris, records show the department has provided inconsistent and false statements about the incident, Meg O’Connor reports for The Appeal. His father Roland is still fighting for justice while Harris’s friends are still serving time behind bars for his death.
“Why did police delete text messages from the night of his son’s shooting? Why are Jacob’s friends the only ones who have been held responsible for his death? How could anyone say his son’s killing was justified?” Roland still wonders according to The Appeal.
